There are many choices of Salon establishments for clients to choose from. However, not all Salons 1) follow proper sanitation procedures, 2) have taken advanced classes in foot care and 3) received a certificate of completion in advanced training specifically in Oncology Care for the Pedicure client who either have had or are currently going through cancer treatments. Client safety has always been my #1 priority states owner, Kat Benns. However, proper sanitary procedures is just one factor in considering what Salon establishment can carefully and properly care for a special needs client. Empathy, product knowledge, product ingredients, understanding cancer and cancer modalities, communication and what should and should NOT be done.
